Hulu has something for everyone this holiday season — even horror movie fans. From Hulu Originals, like Pooka!, to classic haunting holiday tales, like Krampus, these are the scariest Christmas horror movies to stream on Hulu this season.

1. Santa’s Slay (2022)

What if St. Nick isn’t really who we think he is? In this scary Santa movie, the jolly man in red is actually a demon who lost a bet with an angel and is forced to become the kind-hearted man we know and love. Now that the bet is over, the real Santa Claus is here to spread Christmas cheer fear.

2. Silent Night (2020)

Mark (Bradley Taylor) is a struggling ex-criminal who’s eager to straighten out his life and reconnect with his daughter to give her the best Christmas he can. But when a notorious crime boss blackmails him, Mark has no choice but to complete one final crime.

3. Krampus (2015)

Young Max’s Christmas is about to go from bad to worse in this hair-raising Christmas horror movie. Max’s lack of holiday cheer and enthusiasm unleashes Santa’s demonic counterpart known as Krampus, who’s out to trap and torture Max’s family this Christmas.

4. Black Christmas (2019)

In this remake of the classic 1974 holiday horror movie of the same name, a group of Alpha Kappa Gamma sisters are snowed in on Christmas Eve at their sorority house. Little do they know, the house was once the home of Billy, a young boy who was horrifically abused by his family in the 70s. He got his revenge on his mother, and now he’s come back for more.

5. Letters to Satan Claus (2020)

Do you prefer your scary movies with a side of humor? Letters to Satan Claus is a holiday horror/comedy about the deadly consequence of a typo. When the letter Holly Frost intended for Santa Claus accidentally gets sent to Satan Claus, she must make a heroic return to her hometown to save her family.

6. A Christmas Carol (2019)

This dark and haunting retelling of the Charles Dickens classic might not be a Christmas-themed slasher, but FX’s take on A Christmas Carol is still eerie enough to send shivers down your spine.

7. The Lodge (2019)

Richard Hall (Richard Armitage) is called away at the last minute for work, leaving his new girlfriend, Grace (Riley Keough), and two children alone in a remote holiday village. When strange things begin happening, the three have to band together to fight the demons lurking from Grace’s dark past.

8. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

10. A Nasty Piece of Work (2019)

When the employees of a private equity company find out they’re not getting the Christmas bonuses they were expecting, their boss invites them over for a Christmas party that turns out to be a deadly competition for their holiday pay and a promotion.

11. Midnight Kiss (2019)

Every New Year’s Eve, a group of gay best friends and their gal pal play a game called “Midnight Kiss” to ensure each friend has someone to kiss at midnight. But when a masked newcomer wants to join in, the game turns into a sadistic battle for survival.

13. Pooka Lives! (2020)

In this sequel to Pooka!, a group of thirty-somethings get together to create the #PookaChallenge, which allows people to summon the terrifying stuffed animal. But when the trend goes viral, it gets dangerously out of hand.

14. New Year, New You (2018)
