Violet Young is a teen actor and singer/songwriter based in NYC.

Violet is a series regular on Hulu’s “Life & Beth” as Young Beth, the teen version of the series’ star/writer/director, Amy Schumer. She recently guest starred on NBC’s “Chicago PD” as Candace, a young woman hiding a dark secret. Violet is also known for her work as Picasso’s daughter, Maya, opposite Antonio Banderas in National Geographic’s “Genius: Picasso”. She played a cancer survivor in the film “Tri”with Tim Reid, and starred in the short film “5 Teenagers Walk Into a Bar”, which premiered at the L.A. Shorts International Film Festival. Violet has done sketches on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and on “Saturday Night Live”.

At only ten years old, Violet wowed audiences at the acclaimed Apollo Theatre in Harlem, singing “Girl on Fire,” and at 14 sang the National Anthem at the opening ceremony of the US Open. Professional theater credits include Debbie in “Billy Elliot” at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, and the leading role of Annemarie in the 25th Anniversary Production of Number the Stars at the Off-Broadway Davenport Theatre. Violet was the youngest member of the Future Music Project at Carnegie Hall, where she wrote, recorded and toured throughout NY with the band.

Violet Young is a high school junior at a high school in Manhattan and has been collaborating and working on her first EP with Dirty Canvas Music (Shep Goodman and Aaron Accetta). Violet’s first single is coming out in early 2022, with an EP to follow in the Spring of 2022.
