Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria continue to explore the world outside of the habitat. Marty hoofs it all the way out to a trash-littered beach desperately waiting for his Junior Ranger magic touch! Gloria and Lala reunite after Lala’s hibernation, but Gloria doesn’t know how to fit in with her new frog crew. Alex learns on the job directing his first Broadway show. And Melman searches for his own Giraffe herd at another habitat across town, only to discover that you don’t have to be the same species to be a family!

Her fake news is a big hit… until she learns that reporting- and telling- the truth is what makes you a real hero.

During an animal painting exhibition at the NYC Art Museum, Melman (whose crayon-artworks at the Habitat is legendary) worries that his classic-cute style isn’t up to snuff. To prove to his Ma that he’s responsible enough to move into a nest of his own, Ant’ney sets out to safely return a lost egg. But after the egg hatches before Any’ney returns it- and the alligator inside mistakes Ant’ney for his parent- Ant’ney must find the best home for his newest responsibility, and ultimately learns that sometimes being responsible means making tough decisions and thinking on your feet (or claws!).

When Bill the Flamingo moves into the guest habitat, the nosy new neighbor discovers our gang sneaking out for Alex’s big cat food audition- and insists on joining their adventure. But when Bill has so much fun in the city that he refuses to go home, Alex’s audition is threatened, and he’s certain they should’ve never let Bill join in their fun. Bill ultimately helps Alex nail the audition, and Alex learns to give new friends (and even frenemies) a chance.

When Melman realizes HE was the culprit, he learns that next time he shouldn’t be so quick to assign blame.

When the gang asks him to read aloud their new favorite mystery book, Marty is too embarrassed to admit that he hasn’t yet mastered reading. Marty obsesses so hard on his reading practice that he gets locked inside the library overnight with one of the library’s therapy dogs, leaving the pair to team up and bust out before sunrise.

A series of stumbles makes Melman question whether he’s cut out to be a paramedic–until he learns that mastering a goal takes grit!

When fun-loving, water-dwelling tadpole LALA shows up in Gloria’s tank, the two become underwater besties! Gloria’s attempts to make everyone happy backfire, leading her to learn that she can have different groups of friends, and it’s okay to play with them one at a time, or all together!

S3 Episode 302 ‘I Love Lucia’
The habitat is celebrating “Sloth Day” in honor of its newest arrival: cool, chill, Lucia the sloth, who just arrived from Costa Rica! At first, the gang is excited to have a new friend, but soon the whole zoo develops sloth fever; everywhere they go, people are walking around in sloth masks– even Kate is fawning over her! Melman, accustomed to getting lots of attention as the baby of the group, worries that Kate loving Lucia will mean less love and attention for him! When Lucia overhears Melman lament that there’s not enough room in the habitat for another animal, she decides to strike out and go someplace where she is welcome. Realizing the error of his unwelcoming ways, Melman and the gang must try to win Lucia back and bring her back to the habitat before Kate (and the rest of the city) notices she’s gone!
S3 Episode 301 ‘Alex and Behemoth’
When Alex realizes he’s too small to climb onto his new habitat “stage”, he feels too small for his dreams- until he hears of a big, new roller coaster at Coney Island and figures if he can ride the big coaster, that’ll prove that he’s a BIG deal! But when Alex is too short to be allowed on the ride- and his friends find themselves stuck at the top of it- Alex saves the day when he realizes that there are advantages to being small, and learns that his body is perfect just the way it is.

S2 Episode 206 ‘Pest Side Story’
Gloria becomes determined to earn her Queen of Kindness Kidizen badge and welcomes some free-spirited rats who need a place to stay into the habitat. Despite her discomfort, Gloria encourages the rats to make themselves at home. When the rats play with her special baby tusk at the bottom of her tank, she finally snaps and sends the rats home. It isn’t until the gang winds up at the rats’ nest and Gloria almost takes a slice of the rats special cheese that she learns it’s okay to say no.

It’s Kate’s birthday and everyone in the habitat has something amazing planned- but Melman’s worried that his homemade/hoof-made gift won’t measure up. While on a no-holds barred quest to get Kate her favorite cupcakes, Melman learns the gift doesn’t matter, as long as it comes from the heart.

S2 Episode 204 ‘Hedgehog Sitters Club’
When a litter of hedgehogs are temporarily relocated to the habitat, Alex, Marty, Melman, and Gloria become their “babysitters.” The mischievous hedgies quickly wreak total havoc in the habitat—and worse yet, Alex must sacrifice his plans to crash a photoshoot for the zoo’s pamphlet cover when the baby hedgies find the travel tunnels and sneak out for an urban adventure of their own! After an “Adventures in Babysitting”-style citywide hedgehog chase, our gang—with a newfound sense of responsibility—ultimately locates the hedgehogs and learn that babies can be a lot of work, but also a whole lot of fun. And Alex gets his dream pamphlet cover—surrounded by the adorable baby hedgies!
