D’Arcy Carden

D’Arcy Carden was nominated for an Emmy® in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category for her iconic role as Janet in Mike Schur’s series “The Good Place” (NBC). She also received rave reviews for her starring performance in the Amazon/Sony TV series adaptation of the classic film “A League of Their Own.” Carden can currently be seen in “Nobody Wants This” (Netflix) – a “The Good Place” reunion with Kristen Bell. In film, she starred opposite Jennifer Lopez, Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Coolidge, Cheech Marin and Lenny Kravitz in “Shotgun Wedding,” which was released on Amazon last year. She can be seen starring opposite Susan Sarandon, Paul Reiser and Shameik Moore in “The Gutter,” which was released by Magnolia Pictures in November 2024.

Carden recently completed production starring opposite Will Forte in the limited series “Sunny Nights,” which will air first on the Australian streamer Stan. Her previous TV work includes recurring roles on the Emmy-winning series “Barry” (HBO) and the cult classic “Broad City” (Comedy Central). Other TV credits include “Veep” (HBO), “History of the World: Part II “(Hulu), “Killing It” (Peacock), “No Activity” (Paramount+), “Krapopolis” (Fox) and “Clone High” (MAX).

Carden stars alongside Tony Hale in the film “Sketch” which just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (and has 100% on Rotten Tomatoes). In other film work she has appeared alongside Margot Robbie, Nicole Kidman, Charlize Theron and John Lithgow in Jay Roach’s “Bombshell” (Lionsgate), and alongside Jake Johnson, JK Simmons and Susan Sarandon in “Ride The Eagle” (Hulu). Other credits include “She Taught Love” (Hulu), “Dicks: The Musical” (A24), “The People We Hate at the Wedding” (Amazon) and “Let It Snow” (Netflix).

Carden made her Broadway debut in 2023 in Larissa FastHorse’s “The Thanksgiving Play,” a NYT Critic’s Pick that earned her a Theater World Award and a nomination for a Drama League award. She starred alongside Scott Foley, Chris Sullivan and Katie Finneran. The play was directed by Tony® Award winner Rachel Chavkin (Hadestown). Carden hosts “Wikihole,” a podcast launched by Smartless media, which was named one of the Best Podcasts of 2024 by Time Magazine.
