Imogen Faith Reid
Emerging actress and newcomer Imogen Faith Reid is making a significant impact with her breakout role in Hulu’s limited series “Good American Family,” where she stars as Natalia Grace alongside Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass. The highly anticipated drama premieres on March 19, 2025, and will later stream on Disney+ in the UK in May 2025. “Good American Family” is a dramatized retelling of the real-life story of Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian-born adoptee with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, a rare form of dwarfism. The series explores the controversial legal and emotional battles surrounding her re-aging and abandonment by her adoptive family.
Reid’s portrayal of Natalia Grace is already generating critical buzz, showcasing her ability to bring depth, vulnerability and strength to complex roles. Prior to “Good American Family,” she built an impressive resume across television, film and stage. She made her screen debut as a featured artist in “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” where she performed as a tap dancer in the circus troupe. She body-doubled for young Cosette in “Les Misérables: The Drama Series,” filmed in Belgium, where she gained experience in stunt work, including harness-based climbing sequences.
Her television credits include working alongside Jude Law in HBO’s “The Third Day” as a body double for the role of Nathan, as well as appearing in HBO’s “House of the Dragon” as a featured server in a key scene with the main cast. Reid also took on stunt work in “The Creator,” marking her first foray into the action genre, and has worked in commercial campaigns such as Bazuka That Verruca, which introduced her to prosthetics.
Beyond film and television, Reid has showcased her versatility in theater. She has performed in multiple productions of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” including at The Kings Theatre in Southsea, embracing the high-energy world of pantomime. She is also experienced in live performance, having participated in a 12-hour immersive streaming event with Punchdrunk Theatre Company as part of “The Third Day,” blending her love of film and stage acting.
Doctors initially believed that, because she was born with Russell-Silver Syndrome, she would not survive past infancy. Defying all expectations, she grew up embracing her unique stature and never let it limit her ambitions. From a young age, she was drawn to the performing arts, particularly singing and acting. After attending The Miskin Theatre, where she trained for three years in a BTEC Level 3 Performing Arts program, she further honed her craft through a UAL Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production. Her professional journey took a leap forward when she joined an agency representing actors with unique heights. Since then, she has continued to build an impressive career, gaining valuable experience in every role she takes on. Through her work, she has also connected with a community of actors with dwarfism, forming meaningful friendships and advocating for greater representation in the industry.
