Madeline Brewer
Madeline Brewer is one to watch on both the big and small screens. She is perhaps best known for portraying Janine in Hulu’s Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award-winning series “The Handmaid’s Tale,” for which she was nominated for a 2021 Emmy in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama Series. The show is slated to return for its sixth and final season, and is based on the bestselling novel by Margaret Atwood.
Next up, Brewer can be seen starring opposite Penn Badgley as the female lead of the final season of the Netflix hit series, “You,” created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble.
Most recently, she was seen as Sally Bowles in the Olivier Award-winning London production of “Cabaret” at the Playhouse Theatre opposite Callum Scott Howells.
In 2021, Brewer starred in the Hulu and American High film “The Ultimate Playlist of Noise” alongside Keean Johnson. She recently completed production on “Space Oddity,” directed and produced by Kyra Sedgwick. The film also stars Kevin Bacon and Alexandra Shipp. She will also be seen in the thriller “Where Are You” alongside Anthony Hopkins and Angela Sarafyan.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Pitman, New Jersey, she is a graduate of AMDA, the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, where she studied musical theater. Brewer is also a classically trained singer.
