Souheila Yacoub
Born to a Flemish mother and a Tunisian father, Souheila grew up in Geneva where she became a professional gymnast at 12 years old. When Switzerland was not selected for the London Olympics in 2012, she left for Paris and enrolled at Cours Florent. She then landed a role in the critically acclaimed play Tous des Oiseaux by Wajdi Mouawad. Soon after Souheila starred in Léa Frédeval’s LES AFFAMES, then in Gaspar Noé’s CLIMAX, premiering at the Directors’ Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018, and earned her a place among the Revelations at the César 2019. She then starred in Rebecca Zlotowski’s series Les Sauvages, broadcast on Canal Plus in 2019, followed by Philippe Garrel’s LE SEL DES LARMES which premiered at the Berlinale in 2020. She was most recently seen in the feature film DE BAS NIVEAU by Yassine Qnia. She will next be seen as a Kurdish fighter in the Arte and Hulu series No Man’s Land, directed by Oded Ruskin.
