Yvonne Strahovski

Yvonne Strahovski garnered critical acclaim for her role as Serena Joy Waterford in Hulu’s Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning original series, “The Handmaid’s Tale,” for which she has netted an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress (Drama Series), a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress (Series, Miniseries, or Television Film), as well as two Screen Actors Guild nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble (Drama Series). The series is currently in production for the sixth and final season.
Coming up, inspired by the New York Times bestselling novel “Stinger,” Strahovski will star/executive produce Peacock’s new horror series, “Teacup,” which releases on Oct. 10, 2024. She will also take the screen as lead and EP for another adaptation from a bestselling novel, “A Women of Intelligence.”

Most recently, she made her directorial debut with “Vlog,” a short film which she also wrote and stars in. Awards Daily wrote that the short “reminds us of the majesty of Yvonne Strahovski.” It is a hilarious depiction of what a day in the life of a mommy vlogger looks like. In 2024, the film made the festival circuit including Palm Springs Short Fest and Indy Shorts International Festival. Her husband, Tim Loden, served as a producer and her two sons acted alongside the film with her. The film was shot in their home and took place when she was pregnant with her third child, which made it an almost part-documentary, part-narrative film.

Past recent films include “Scrambled,” which premiered to audiences at the SXSW Film Festival in 2023. She also starred alongside Chris Pratt in Amazon Studio’s sci-fi, time traveling film, “The Tomorrow War,” which shattered Amazon Prime Video’s records for generating unprecedented viewing numbers during the first 48 hours of its release.

Prior to that, Strahovski starred in “Stateless,” a six-part TV series, which first premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in February 2020, and in March 2020 aired on ABC Australia and was available to stream on Netflix. Strahovski received rave reviews, with Forbes calling her performance “hauntingly convincing” and Entertainment Weekly calling out her performance as “beautifully nuanced,” resulting in an AACTA award for Best Lead Actress in a Television Series.

In 2019, Strahovski appeared in the Kim Farrant-directed psychological thriller, “Angel of Mine,” which follows a woman’s descent into madness after she loses her daughter and becomes convinced that another woman’s child is in fact her own. Strahovski plays the woman accused of stealing her own daughter, opposite Noomi Rapace. Strahovski also appeared in 20th Century FOX’s “The
Predator” reboot. The film, which grossed over $116 million worldwide, saw Strahovski star alongside Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Boyd Holbrook and Keegan Michael Key.

Previously, Strahovski could be seen in critically acclaimed TV dramas such as FOX’s “24: Live Another Day,” Showtime’s “Dexter,” NBC’s “Chuck” and ABC’s “The Astronaut Wives Club.” Past film credits include “He’s Out There,” “Manhattan Night” and “The Guilt Trip.”
In December 2012, Strahovski made her Broadway debut in the Lincoln Center production of “Golden Boy,” which was nominated for a 2013 Tony® Award.

Born and raised in Sydney, Strahovski studied theater at the renowned Theatre Nepean, the prestigious actor training institution within the School of the Contemporary Arts at the University of Western Sydney.

Prior to her move to Los Angeles in early 2007, she co-founded a Theatre Company in Sydney, called Sauna Productions, where she acted in and co-produced the productions Kieslowski’s Neck and Finn City.

Strahovski’s greatest joys are the outdoors and being a mom to her three boys.
