ILANA GLAZER is an EMMY Award-winner and co-creator, writer, director, executive producer and star of the critically acclaimed show Broad City, which was nominated by the Writers Guild of America for ‘Best Comedy Series.’

After a fifth and final season, Ilana is now working on a number of different projects, including the Generator Collective, which she co-founded with Glennis Meagher in 2016, to gather and talk about government and politics without feelin’ foolish. Ilana has hosted a number of Generator events to lower the barrier of entry to voting and civic engagement.

Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Generator Collective, in partnership with PACRONYM, launched “Cheat Sheet for the Voting Booth,” a 20-part targeted web series in which Ilana interviews prominent celebrities and influencers from battleground states. The series aims to reach young voters who may not yet be enthusiastic about voting. In the series, Ilana and guests discuss and promote progressive Democratic candidates in key races, up and down the ballot, and provide “Cheat Sheets” to break down voters’ choices this fall. Vanity Fair declared, “Ilana Glazer Is a Voice for Now and November.”

Most recently, Ilana released her critically acclaimed debut standup special The Planet is Burning on Amazon Prime Video. Of the one-hour special, The New York Times says, “Glazer is taking a solo turn with this stand-up special, which includes sharp observations on anti-Semitism, sexism and homophobia.” 

Upcoming, Ilana will star alongside Justin Theroux and Pierce Brosnan in the psychological horror film she also co-wrote and produced titled False Positive (a24). Ilana, along with Abbi Jacobson, currently have in development at Comedy Central the animated comedy Mall Town USA.

Ilana starred opposite Scarlett Johansson in Sony Pictures’ comedy, Rough Night, directed by Lucia Aniello. She was also seen in the film The Night Before opposite Seth Rogan and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. llana voiced the character of EB, in Ellen DeGeneres’ Netflix Series Green Eggs and Ham. The series is based on the classic Dr. Seuss book which also stars Adam Devine, Michael Douglas, and Keegan-Michael Key. In 2017, Glazer and 2 Dope Queens star Phoebe Robinson toured across North America with an 11-city stop for their YQY (Yaaas Queen Yaaas) tour.

Glazer trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where she and Abbi Jacobson met. She currently resides in New York City.
