Meaghan Oppenheimer is a writer and producer, and currently serving as creator and showrunner of “Tell Me Lies.” She began her career when her first screenplay “The Remains” made the 2013 Black List, after which she co-write the Zac Efron film “We Are Your Friends” for Working Title Films. Meaghan then wrote on AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead,” before going on to sell her original pilot “Broken” to ABC which was made with Anna Paquin and Blair Underwood and produced by Bruna Papandrea and Reese Witherspoon. In 2018 Meaghan created and show ran her 1/2 hour dark comedy “Queen America” for Facebook Watch, starring Catherine Zeta Jones and Judith Light. She is currently in development on an original feature with Paul Feig, as well as a romantic comedy feature with Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories. She is drawn towards darkly comedic stories about mental health, generational trauma, and dysfunctional love.
