Series narrated by Academy Award® Winner Kevin Spacey Scored Highest Ratings for an Original Series in the Network’s History
SANTA MONICA, CA (June 1, 2016) – Hulu has acquired the exclusive subscription streaming rights to all episodes of Race for the White House, a thrilling, six-part CNN Original Series narrated by Academy Award® winner Kevin Spacey. All episodes of the acclaimed miniseries are available to stream on Hulu beginning today.
Following its premiere on CNN in March, Race for the White House became the most-watched CNN Original Series telecast ever. Using rare archival footage, interviews and stylized dramatizations, each hour-long episode of Race for the White House tells the story of one iconic campaign for the Presidency of the United States. From powerful speeches to the dirty tricks and Machiavellian schemes, Race for the White House captures the drama of a high-stakes presidential election and its impact on politics today. Elections include Lincoln/Douglas, Kennedy/Nixon, Bush/Dukakis and more. The series is executive produced by Spacey and Dana Brunetti and co-produced by Raw and Trigger Street Productions.
The deal marks the first CNN series to stream exclusively on Hulu and further expands Hulu’s relationship with Turner Broadcasting, which includes full seasons of exclusive programming from Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, TBS and TNT.
Race for the White House joins a growing list of political programming now streaming on Hulu including Triumph’s Election Special 2016, which will debut its second part later this year following the successful launch of the first special.
