Live TV on Web Gets My Stuff and Picture-in-Picture

Our next step in building a specially-crafted and optimized Hulu with Live TV experience for Web has arrived. Today, we’ve added more features to our live TV experience on Web based on your feedback. My Stuff, picture-in-picture and a more robust Search are now available on beta.hulu.com for live TV subscribers and Hulu viewers who have HBO or Cinemax premium add-ons.
My Stuff is your personal space for everything you want to keep track of – you control what goes here. Now, when you log into beta.hulu.com, you’ll be able to select from any of your up to six profiles and jump straight into My Stuff from the navigation bar at the top of your page. You can also easily add and remove programming from My Stuff from any TV show, movie and team details page. When you add something, we’ll remember what you’ve already watched and what you have left to finish.
We’ve also made it even easier to manage and maintain your My Stuff section. Since you have a wide range of motion on the Web and are used to clicking and selecting things rather quickly and easily with your mouse, we’ve baked in a multi-delete function that enables you to remove multiple items from your My Stuff section at once.
Picture-in-picture is a feature that many of you have expressed interest in and one that we’re particularly excited to introduce to the Web experience. It allows you to continue watching your favorite programming while you browse the rest of the UI. Just click the “minimize” button in the right, bottom corner of the player to activate picture-in-picture viewing. From there, you’ll be able to move the small player, anywhere on your screen while you multi-task.
We’ve also improved Search results to include episodes and sporting events. And, if you’ve forgotten the title of a movie or are in the mood for a particular type of movie, the expanded Search will also populate results that match against movie descriptions.
