Hulu Live TV on Web Gets More Browse Bells and One-Click Whistles

At Hulu, we want your experience to feel as tailored to each device you use as it is for your content preferences. The way you use Hulu on your phone or Roku is much different than the way you do on your computer, which is why we’ve been building out a live TV experience that is distinctly optimized for the Web. And we’re really excited that today, we are introducing our biggest and best changes yet.

Now, if you’re a subscriber to Hulu’s live TV plan and go to beta.hulu.com, you’ll be able to dive into live programming with one click and you’ll also see an entirely new Home and Browse experience.

As always, our greatest iterations come directly from your feedback. We’ve heard that, at times, getting to live programming is not as quick or simple as you’d like it to be, so we’ve created a dedicated “Live” section that lives at the top of your page. When you click into Live, you’ll be taken straight into live programming. When you leave, we’ll remember the last channel you watched.

You’ll also notice that your Home screen looks different. We’ve introduced more collections we know people love to the Web experience, including Keep Watching, Lineup and expertly curated, timely one-stop destinations for must-watch programming like Fall TV. And, because you’ve expressed interest in seeing more options at a time, we’re taking advantage of the high resolution display you use with your computer and providing you with greater information density to give you fast access to what you want to watch in a way that feels native to your computer.

We’ve made it faster to jump straight into the shows and movies you love- just hit the play button on the tile to go right to playback. If you’re curious in learning more about a title, you can click on the show title to get to the details page. We’ve also made the details page an overlay so you can quickly access information about the title and easily click out and get back to browsing when you’re done.

Our new dedicated Browse menu makes it faster than ever to get to jump to your favorite genre. Whether you’re in the mood for adult animation, game shows, mystery or sketch comedy, our wide range of genres has got you covered.
