MAX HANDELMAN holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

His company Brownstone Productions, which he co-founded with wife Elizabeth Banks, is best known for the hit PITCH PERFECT franchise which has grossed over half a billion dollars worldwide, and the highly anticipated CHARLIE’S ANGELS reboot at Sony which will release November 1st, 2019. In addition to SHRILL, Brownstone’s television business is currently in production on its FOX pilot, PATTY’S AUTO, as well as developing several projects including HOOPS with LeBron James’s SpringHill Entertainment and GIRL WAITS WITH GUN at Amazon. On the film side, their upcoming slate includes RED QUEEN, GRACE YEAR, and SCIENCE FAIR at Universal Pictures, LET’S GO CRAZY at Paramount Players, and MISCONCEPTION at Sony Screen Gems.

In addition, Handelman, an avid fantasy football player, co-authored the book “Why Fantasy Football Matters – And Our Lives Do Not.” The book, published in 2006 by Simon & Schuster, is in its second printing.

A Portland, OR native, Max currently lives in Los Angeles with Elizabeth and their two sons, Felix and Magnus.
