Academy Award–Nominated filmmaker Jed Rothstein specializes in hard-to-get stories from around the world that help people understand one another better. His recent film, THE CHINA HUSTLE, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before opening globally. Forbes called it, “The Most Important Film of 2018.” Other films include the award-winning BEFORE THE SPRING AFTER THE FALL and the Oscar-nominated short KILLING IN THE NAME, for which he filmed both Al Qaeda terrorists and their victims. Rothstein also directed and produced a number of television and streaming projects, including the acclaimed Netflix series The Innocence Files, Showtime’s ENEMIES, a docuseries on the FBI doing battle with different presidents, Nat Geo’s Parched: Money Flows, CNN’s Death Row Stories, and the Amazon Prime series The New Yorker Presents, which premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. Hulu’s WEWORK: OR THE MAKING AND BREAKING OF A $47 BILLION UNICORN marks his first appearance at SXSW.
