A native of St. Johns, Newfoundland, left-winger Terry Ryan was the Canadiens first-round pick and the eighth overall selection at the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut on Oct. 26, 1996 against the Philadelphia Flyers before going on to play two more games with the Habs that season, recording no points. He also suited up with the Habs for another four games during their 1997-98 campaign, playing his last games in the NHL on Oct. 19, 1998 against the Blackhawks. Ryan first appeared in Letterkenny as a hockey player from Newfoundland. Ryan now spends his time acting and performing as a stunt performer for productions that are produced in Newfoundland. He also has run for Mayor of Mount Pearl twice, but has yet to win the seat.
